Last week I was contacted on Facebook by a friend who was literally over the Urals, availing of Lufthansa’s wi-fi service on a flight from Tokyo to Munich. Well, I can beat that. This is being typed on the train from Dublin to Waterford. How cool is that?
Ahem. While in Dublin airport earlier in the day, I saw their display of photos called ‘Faces of Ireland‘, a series of 250 portraits that “represent the citizenry of he island of Ireland”. If so, we must be a nation of golfers as Paul McGinley, Graeme McDowell, Rory McIlroy and Darren Clarke all popped up in the aisle I was walking down. Not much from our national game, but what was there was noteworthy:
So he’s good enough to be one of the faces of Ireland. Is there any doubt he should become something much more important – captain of Waterford?
