Weird: Peter Queally coming on playing for Leinster and rattling home a goal against a stricken Brendan Cummins. It was hurling all right, but not as we know it.
Wonderful: Tom Shanahan, chairman of the organising committee, put it best when he said that everyone in Waterford owed Ken McGrath a debt which could never be repaid. Nearly 7,000 people in Walsh Park (and others who bought a ticket knowing they wouldn’t be able to make it) paid a small part of that debt off last night. Stay healthy, Ken.
At 7pm tonight, back to reality.
